Barakaat Middle Eastern Dance Company

Under the direction of Shems, the Barakaat Middle Eastern Dance Company is currently made up of six talented performers: Ghadir, Isabel, Mariza, Ouranitsa, Tydirah and Shems. Formed originally in February of 2010, Barakaat is already making a positive impact on its local community, showcasing a high artistic standard in all their performances, hosting dance showcases in the Baltimore area.

Through their performances, Barakaat honors tradition as well as looks ahead to the full potential of what Middle Eastern Dance can be in these modern times. Keep your eyes open for many wonderful things to come.
